Bangkok capital city

Bangkok
is the largest city in Thailand with many attractions such as sightseeing, restaurant, nightlife and shopping. There are a lot of things to see and do in Bangkok which is the capital of Thailand. This city is incredibly urbanized but beneath its modern veneer lies an unmistakable Thai-ness.
To say Bangkok is not Thailand, as has been superciliously claimed by some, is like saying that New York is not America, Paris is not France or London is not England.

Bangkok was established in 1782 by the First King of the Chakri dynasty, King Rama I. The name of Bangkok means ‘place of olives’ and refer to the original site which is only a very small part of what today is called Bangkok by foreigners but it is shortened to Krung Thep ‘city of angels’ in everyday usage. Bangkok caters to diverse interests: there are museums, temples and other historic sites for those interested in traditional Thai culture, and social events, moview in several different languages and a modern art institute for those seeking contemporary Krung Thep.  The city whirls, lives, trembles and throbs, with row on row of multi-storeyed building and row on row of shopping complexes. Bangkok doesn’t only have multi-storey buildings and shopping complexes, not only concreted-over klongs and traffic jams. There are over four hundred Buddhist temples or Wats, many of which are masterpieces of world architecture. Some of temples are of such impressive construction that they have become emblems of the city, such as Wat Phra kaeo (Emerald Buddha temple), Wat Po and Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn).

At the present, there are 65 million people in Thailand, 20 million* of them in Bangkok. The climate is equatorial in April with maximum temperatures of 39 degree. 95% of Thai people are Buddhist and the rest of religion are Moslems, Christians, Hindus and Sikhs.  Some people say Bangkok is a city that never sleeps. For night owls, there is always some thing to do, to see and there is always a place open for a late evening snack. Anytime is a good time to go out in Bangkok. No visit to Bangkok is complete without a night life and should you find yourself moving to Bangkok to spend a great time there.
