Getting to Pattaya

Pattaya City is divided into four major zones: North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, South Pattaya and Chomthian.
It is not good idea to use airway to reach there as there has only one airline that is Bangkok Airways providing daily flights connecting Ko Samui and U-Taphao Airport.  But you have to rent bus or car approximately 30 kilometers to reach at the south of Pattaya.

Traveling from Bangkok to Pattaya has some trasportation in Pattaya city is facilitaed through the use of special hired car or minivan.  However, you can choose bus that is other optional transportation. There are also minibuses that travel directly from Bangkok Airport to Pattaya at 9.00 a.m., 12.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. daily.  Therefore, bus travel is the most common mode of arrival but taxis from Bangkok are relatively inexpensive.  Buses are the cheapest means of arrival and operate frequently from Bangkok and other towns.  While, taxis from all over Bangkok are readily available at negotiable rates, usually between 1000 and 1400 baht. One train service operates daily from Bangkok, and vehicle hire is widely available from many sources.
