Koh Samui is a part of an island group that used to be called Muu Koh Samui and located in the Gulf of Thailand, approximately 84 kilometers east of Surat Thani province, or about 700 kilometers south of Bangkok.  

It is fast becoming an island to be visited all year round as it benefits from a good weather season for around 10 months of the year.  Generally, Temperatures are between 30-35 degrees, which can sometimes rise to 40 degrees during April and May.  Average temperatures during the wet season range between 25-30 degrees.  The best time to visit Koh Samui is from February to April when the sea is calm. 

Travelers to the island can enjoy a mixed blessing of vibrant day and nightlife along side with tranquility which can easily be found across different parts of Koh Samui as the archipelago is a peaceful home for fishermen and a natural den for seagulls and other rare birds. Many visitors find Koh Samui’s natural beauty and balmy climate totally irresistible and decide to make the island their permanent or second home.  Currently, Koh Samui attracts all walks of life, from honeymooners to film stars. It’s a true cosmopolitan island and the locals make all welcome and wishing for more. This is why visitors to Samui return year after year and many decide never to leave at all.
