Samui island may be a small island; however, some market and shops cover mostly everything in the main areas such as Chaweng, Nathon, Lamai and Maenam. All shopping areas have central commercial districts , therefore, you can enjoy shopping particular local souvenir.  In the daytime, most people head for shopping at Nathon, where a wide variety of shops are open all day.  Samui markets and shops have been known to be expensive but over the last few years the prices are becoming very reasonable and bargains are always to be found or bartered for.
